Okay, I just read it's finally confirmed Oguri Shun is going to starring in the next FujiTV Getsu9 Drama!!!!!

The name of the dorama will be "リッチマン、プアウーマン" = "rich man, poor woman" ^_^
As I said before, it will be the next Getsu9 (Monday, 9pm) on FujiTV. His last Getsu9 was "Tokyo Dogs" in Oct 2009, his last starring role in dorama was "Juui Dolittle" in Oct 2010.
This time it will most probably be a romantic drama as usual for the summer season. Start will be in July.

Fuji TV has just announced their Monday drama (‘Getsu 9′) for the upcoming summer season and it’s going to star Oguri Shun and Ishihara Satomi in a modern Japanese version of ‘Pretty Woman‘ called ‘Rich Man, Poor Woman‘.

Oguri plays a billionaire and manager of a major IT company. Similar to the life of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, he had become a billionaire when his website, which started out only as a hobby, gradually started to gain more and more popularity. However, due to his lack of management skills and despicable personality, people often label him as swindler and otaku*.

Ishihara, on the other hand, plays a very talented young woman who is about to graduate from the Department of Science at Tokyo University. However, due to the current scarcity of employment, she hasn’t yet received any positive feedback from any of the applications she sent out. She is veering towards leading a poor life in her future. One day, the pair happen to run into each other, which doesn’t end really well at first due to the disparity in their personalities, but they soon start to feel attracted to each other.

This is going to be Oguri’s first starring role in a drama since his marriage to actress Yamada Yu. The last time he and Ishihara worked together was during the filming of the NHK taiga drama ‘Yoshitsune‘ back in 2005. He commented, “I’m really looking forward to this modern version of ‘Pretty Woman’. Of course I’m also looking forward to working together with Ishihara and to find out how this love story is going to develop.”

Ishihara stated, “Although I’m really happy that I get to co-star with Oguri in a drama, I first got to know him when I was still in my teens (when we filmed ‘Yoshitsune’), which is why I’m feeling a bit awkward that it has to be a love story.”

The rest of the main cast includes Aibu Saki as an up-and-coming female chef and Iura Arata (formerly known under his stage name ARATA) as her older brother and co-manager of the IT company, who together complete the love square.

The midsummer evening romance ‘Rich Man, Poor Woman’ is scheduled to air its first episode in July.

I don't remember her at all from Yoshitsune at the moment^^
Anyway we finally have a romantic drama! And even a Getsu9 (as rumors said before) ... omg ... I just died >__<

During the event Shun read a letter of thanks that has deeply moved Okada-kun (seems that he said that he could really consider Okada as his brother).

Warner Bros. Japan has released the first full theatrical trailer for "Guskou Budori no Denki" (The Life of Guskou Budori).

Miyazawa's fairy tale follows a young man named Guskou in the Tohoku forests of northeastern Japan in the 1920s. After an onslaught of droughts and natural disasters, Guskou is forced to leave his home and search for a better life elsewhere. Guskou joins a group of scientists at the Ihatov Volcano Department, which deals with the same natural disasters that drove Guskou from his home.

It's been said that today the Uchu Kyodai cast = Oguri Shun, Okada Masaki and Inoue Yoshio were at VS Arashi so we'll be able to see some more awesomeness pretty soon ^-^



It's Oguri Shun's 3rd appeareance at VS嵐 after the fighting against Arashi with the "Tokyo Dogs" team back in 2009 and being a guest in their team in 2011 for "Gaku" promotions.

In the end he had been asked what he thinks about having children but he said he won't say anything about it - with a huge smile ^^ 「心の中にはありますが、言わないでーす！」


Oguri Shun will be a guest at "supan!" hosted by Muro Tsuyoshi 2012.04.06 starting 21:30 / 9:30 pm on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting (文化放送 JOQR 1134). Muro Tsuyoshi played Kitamura Yuuki at Surely Someday, that gadgets guy who stayed in his room the whole time. It's his first radio appereance for a long time. I hope someone will be able to record it ... (*doesn't know how*)
