Yamada Yu holds press conference regarding her marriage with Oguri Shun
On March 14th, actress/model Yamada Yu (27) held a press conference regarding her marriage with actor Oguri Shun (29). Oguri was unable to attend the press conference due to a movie shoot in China.
With a smile, Yamada started off by reporting, “I would like to report that on March 14, 2012, just a little while ago, Oguri Shun and Yamada Yu have officially registered for marriage.” She continued, “We have been dating for 4 years, since March of 2008. We had many twists and turns, but I’m happy to be able to report this news.”
Regarding the date of their marriage, Yamada explained, “We were planning on July of last year, but we decided to wait because of the earthquake. We got married one year after the earthquake, on the day we started dating, March 14th.”
Yamada shared that she turned in the marriage papers by herself. “I’m very happy. I filled out the marriage papers by myself, so I was a little lonely.” She also revealed, “He proposed in the beginning of March. Please let me keep the place of the proposal a secret, as I want it only to be my memory.”
The couple plans to hold a ceremony sometime this year.
